I feel compelled to make a comment on Sunset with Coots. This is just lovely and would make a gorgeous presentation in oils on stretched canvas. I swear that the reddish setting sun looks painted it’s so intense. The out of focus ducks in the background are the perfect optical device to send the viewer’s eye to the fully focused black coots that are in the forefront of the photo. Even the background behind the flaming ball of the setting sun is beautifully represented. This is a nice piece of photo art . It’s a lucky thing that this pair of coots were lazily swimming by, because they made an absolutely elegant subject matter. The great outdoors holds so many perfect moments that are frozen in time thanks to the amazing talent and artistry of the photographer who shoots the picture of a lifetime through the aperture of his camera lens. I think the camera truly is an extension of the artistic soul.
