Mount Kailash (Kangrinboqe) is a peak in the Gangdise mountains which is part of the Himalayas in Tibet.
It is the source of some of the longest rivers in Asia.
Lake Mansarovar lies at 4556 m above sea level. It is the highest fresh-water lake in the world.
Kailash is sacred place to Hindus, Buddhist, Jains and Bon faith; Mansarovar to Hindus and Jains.
